Moederbord ASRock B850M Rock WiFi AM5 mATX DDR5 met HDMI en DisplayPort

ASRock B850M Rock WiFi AM5 mATX DDR5 with HDMI and DisplayPort is a micro-ATX motherboard designed for AMD AM5 desktop systems. It supports DDR5 memory modules and provides integrated video outputs through HDMI and DisplayPort, alongside built-in WiFi for wireless network connectivity. The board targets compact PC builds where current-generation processor and memory support, plus flexible display options, are required.

Advantages

The motherboard combines AM5 CPU compatibility with DDR5 memory support in a space-saving mATX layout, offering a balance of modern performance and compact size. Integrated HDMI and DisplayPort outputs allow direct connection to monitors without a discrete GPU when the chosen processor provides integrated graphics. Onboard WiFi simplifies wireless setup and reduces the need for additional expansion cards. The design includes standard peripheral interfaces for storage, memory expansion and connectivity suitable for mainstream desktop tasks.

Suitable for

• Compact desktop builds for home and office use
• Multimedia systems requiring onboard video outputs
• General-purpose computing and light gaming with AM5 processors that include integrated graphics
• Upgrading to DDR5 memory while retaining a micro-ATX chassis

Key specifications

• Socket type: AMD AM5 compatible
• Form factor: micro-ATX
• Memory support: DDR5 DIMM slots
• Video outputs: HDMI and DisplayPort
• Network: integrated WiFi and Ethernet connectivity
• Expansion: PCIe slot(s) for discrete graphics or add-in cards
• Storage interfaces: SATA and M.2 support for SSDs and HDDs

How to use

Install the ASRock B850M Rock WiFi into a compatible micro-ATX chassis, secure with appropriate standoffs, and connect a compatible AM5 CPU following processor installation guidelines and applying thermal interface material. Insert DDR5 memory modules into the correct DIMM slots according to the motherboard manual to enable dual-channel operation where applicable. Connect storage devices to SATA ports or M.2 slots, attach power supply connectors to the board’s main and CPU power headers, and install any required cooling solution. Attach a monitor using HDMI or DisplayPort if using a processor with integrated graphics, or install a discrete GPU in a PCIe slot for higher graphics performance. Complete connections for keyboard, mouse and network, and power on to enter BIOS/UEFI for initial configuration and memory/profile settings.

Recommendations

Use DDR5 modules listed as compatible in the motherboard memory support list and update BIOS/UEFI to the latest recommended version before first use. For compact builds, verify CPU cooler clearance and airflow in the micro-ATX case to maintain stable temperatures. If relying on integrated video, ensure the chosen AM5 processor includes integrated graphics; otherwise plan for a discrete GPU. Regularly install driver and firmware updates from the manufacturer's support resources to ensure network, storage and chipset stability.
