Monitor Acer NITRO XZ340CURW0bmiiphx 34 inch curved UWQHD VA 3440x1440 5 ms zwart

The Acer NITRO XZ340CURW0bmiiphx is a 34" curved LCD monitor with a 3440 x 1440 (UWQHD) VA panel and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It provides an ultra-wide workspace for immersive productivity and gaming, with a typical brightness of 250 cd/m², a typical contrast ratio of 3000:1 and 178° viewing angles. The screen features a 5 ms gray-to-gray response time, integrated speakers, VESA mounting compatibility and height adjustment for ergonomic setup in black finish.

Advantages

The ultra-wide 3440 x 1440 resolution and curved VA panel increase horizontal viewing area for wider field of view in games and for multitasking across multiple windows. The 5 ms response time and VA contrast help deliver clearer dark scenes and reduced ghosting compared with slower panels. Built-in speakers and height-adjustable stand simplify installation and everyday use while VESA mounting allows alternative mounting solutions. The monitor’s energy ratings and measured power consumption provide reference values for operational cost assessment.

Suitable for

• Immersive single-player and racing games that benefit from a 21:9 field of view
• Multitasking and productivity workflows that use wide timelines, spreadsheets or side-by-side windows
• Content consumption such as ultrawide video and streaming
• Office and home setups requiring VESA mounting or adjustable-height ergonomics

When it may not be suitable

This monitor uses a VA panel which provides strong contrast but may not match the color accuracy or response characteristics of high-end IPS or TN panels for certain professional color-critical work. Its typical brightness of 250 cd/m² is adequate for most indoor environments but may be insufficient in very bright rooms or direct sunlight. Also, if you require built-in USB hub ports, this model does not include them.

How to use

Place the monitor on a stable desk or attach it to a VESA-compatible arm or bracket. Connect a video source using the available DisplayPort or HDMI inputs and select the native 3440 x 1440 resolution in your graphics settings for optimal clarity. Adjust height and tilt to achieve a comfortable ergonomic position and configure on-screen menu settings to suit your environment, including brightness, contrast and any available image modes. Use the built-in speakers for basic audio or connect external speakers/headphones to improve sound quality if required.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your graphics card and cables support UWQHD (3440 x 1440) at the desired refresh rate.
• Confirm the available desk space and whether VESA mounting or the monitor’s height adjustment meets your ergonomic needs.
• If you require high color accuracy for professional photo or video editing, verify if calibration or an IPS panel is preferable.
• Account for typical brightness (250 cd/m²) relative to your ambient lighting conditions.

Recommendations

For general productivity and immersive gaming, use the native 3440 x 1440 resolution and adjust refresh rate and response settings according to your priorities: higher refresh rates for smoother motion in fast games, and balanced image settings for everyday work. Position the curved screen so the center is aligned with your sitting position to maximize the immersive effect and reduce eye and neck strain. When color-critical work is required, perform a hardware calibration or use a reference display.
