Montageset Akasa AK-MX010 zwart aluminium

The Akasa AK-MX010 Black Aluminium mounting kit converts a single 3.5" PC drive bay into a secure holder for two 2.5" drives. Made from black aluminium, the bracket supports installation of laptop HDDs or high-speed SSDs and is engineered to provide a stable fit while aiding heat dissipation.

Advantages

The 100% aluminium construction promotes rapid heat dissipation and adds structural rigidity for reliable drive mounting. The compact design accepts two 2.5" HDDs or SSDs in a standard 3.5" bay, enabling use of laptop-sized drives in desktop systems. The black finish offers a low-profile appearance that blends with most PC interiors.

Suitable for

• Installing 2.5" SSDs in a 3.5" drive bay
• Adding laptop HDDs to a desktop PC
• Upgrading storage in compact or standard desktop cases

How to use

Mount the two 2.5" drives into the bracket using the supplied screws or the case's mounting hardware, align the bracket with a free 3.5" bay in the PC case, and secure it with screws to the case frame. Connect SATA data and power cables to each drive and ensure cables are routed to avoid strain. Verify that drives are recognised by the system BIOS/UEFI after powering on.

Recommendations

For optimal thermal performance, allow some airflow in the area of the installed drives—position the bracket where case fans can provide circulation. Use correct-length screws to avoid damaging drive housings and confirm compatibility with your case's 3.5" bay depth before installation.
