Why choose it

The HEA THOR 3.5 kW is engineered specifically for use with my-PV AC•THOR and AC•THOR 9s power controllers, enabling precise, stepless modulation of heating output based on available PV surplus. This maximizes self-consumption and reduces grid feed-in, lowering energy costs. The robust stainless steel design withstands high temperatures and pressures, ensuring reliable operation in demanding thermal storage applications.

Ideal use cases

• Domestic hot water tanks in residential PV systems
• Buffer storage tanks for heating support
• Integration with my-PV AC•THOR or AC•THOR 9s for PV excess control
• Upgrading existing electric heating elements to smart PV-driven operation

Good to know

The heating element has a total length of approximately 470 mm including the head, and is installed by screwing into the tank fitting. It is suitable for use in closed-loop heating systems with a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar. The integrated thermal cut-out provides additional safety against overheating. For optimal performance, pair with a compatible my-PV power controller to enable stepless power adjustment.
