NETGEAR GS305PP Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Power over Ethernet (PoE) zwart

NETGEAR GS305PP-300EUS bridge/repeater is a 5-port unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch with integrated PoE support designed for small office, retail and home networking. The device provides five 10/100/1000 Mbps ports in a compact metal chassis and supports both 802.3af and 802.3at Power over Ethernet standards, enabling power delivery to compatible devices such as access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones without additional power adapters. The switch’s plug-and-play operation makes it easy to add Gigabit connectivity and centralized power distribution to wired networks.

Advantages

The metal enclosure offers durable protection and passive cooling for reliable continuous operation. Support for both 802.3af and 802.3at ensures compatibility with a wide range of PoE devices, while per-port power delivery simplifies deployment of powered endpoints. Unmanaged operation requires no configuration, reducing setup time. Gigabit ports provide full-speed connections for bandwidth-sensitive devices and the compact footprint fits on a desk or can be mounted in small spaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting and powering wireless access points in small office or home networks
• Powering and linking IP surveillance cameras
• Supplying power to VoIP phones at reception or office desks
• Expanding Gigabit wired ports for smart home hubs and media devices

Key specifications

• Ports: five 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports with PoE capability
• PoE standards: 802.3af and 802.3at compatibility
• Power per port: up to 15.4 W (classical 802.3af power level)
• Chassis: metal housing for improved heat dissipation
• Operation: unmanaged, plug-and-play installation
• Form factor: desktop/compact footprint suitable for small installations

How to use

Unplugged installation is straightforward: place the switch on a stable surface or mount it according to available mounting points. Connect the switch to your router or upstream network device using a standard Ethernet cable on any of the Gigabit ports. Plug Ethernet cables from your PoE-capable ports to powered devices such as access points, IP cameras or VoIP phones; the switch will automatically detect and supply power within supported standards. No software setup or management interface is required for basic operation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, install the switch in a well-ventilated location and avoid placing it near heat sources. Verify the combined power requirements of connected PoE devices to ensure the total available power budget is not exceeded. Use high-quality shielded or unshielded Cat5e/Cat6 cables for optimal Gigabit performance and maintain firmware and network device compatibility where applicable.
