How to use

Connect the Orbi router to your modem or internet source using the Ethernet WAN or the 2.5 Gig port. Power on the devices and follow the step‑by‑step setup in the Orbi app to create your WiFi network, set passwords and configure additional networks for smart home devices if desired. Place satellites around the home to extend coverage; the app provides placement guidance and shows connection status. For highest wired speeds, connect devices to the 2.5 Gig port or use the 2.5 Gig wired backhaul between units.

Recommendations

Place the main Orbi unit centrally and satellites in open areas without large obstacles for best coverage. Keep firmware updated and enable NETGEAR Armor to maintain security. Use the 2.5 Gig port for Multi-Gig internet plans or high-bandwidth wired devices.
