Netwerk-switch Hikvision DS-3E0106P-E/M(B) — 6-poorts PoE Ethernet switch

Hikvision DS-3E0106P-E/M(B) is a compact 6-port Ethernet switch with integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality. It is designed to provide network connectivity and power delivery to IP cameras and other PoE-capable devices using standard Ethernet cabling. The switch supports basic traffic forwarding and aggregation for small network environments, making it suitable for simple surveillance deployments, retail points of sale, and small office networks that require centralized PoE power distribution.

Advantages

The switch combines six Ethernet ports with PoE to reduce separate power cabling for connected devices. Its compact form factor allows flexible installation in constrained spaces, and plug-and-play operation simplifies setup without requiring advanced network configuration. The device provides stable power delivery over Ethernet and straightforward switching functions for connecting multiple devices to a local area network.

Suitable for

• Small surveillance systems with multiple IP cameras
• Small office networks requiring PoE for phones or wireless access points
• Retail or point-of-sale environments with PoE devices
• Edge aggregation for a few networked devices in compact installations

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 6 Ethernet ports with PoE on designated ports
• PoE support: Integrated PoE power delivery over Ethernet cables
• Form factor: Compact, wall- or shelf-mountable enclosure
• Data forwarding: Basic L2 switching suitable for local traffic aggregation
• Power input: External power adapter for PoE power budget

How to use

Install the switch on a shelf or mount it on a wall near the network source and connected devices. Connect the uplink Ethernet cable from your router or main network switch to one of the non-PoE or designated uplink ports, then connect IP cameras, access points, or other PoE devices to the PoE-enabled ports using Cat5e or better Ethernet cables. Plug in the external power adapter and verify that PoE and link LEDs indicate normal operation. No special configuration is required for basic connectivity; devices will receive power and network access automatically when connected.

Recommendations

Use quality Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher) and confirm total PoE power consumption of connected devices does not exceed the switch's power budget. Place the switch in a ventilated area away from direct heat sources and avoid exposing it to moisture. For larger networks or advanced traffic management, integrate this device with managed switches or routers that offer VLANs and bandwidth controls.
