Netwerk-switch MOXA EDS-G205A-4PoE-T unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet 5 poorten (4x PoE) aluminium 4U

The MOXA EDS-G205A-4PoE-T is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch with five RJ-45 ports, four of which provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3af/at. Designed for compact industrial and office installations, the switch supports 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds with MDI/MDI-X auto-sensing and full/half-duplex operation. As power source equipment (PSE), it can deliver up to 36 W per PoE port, allowing centralised powering of compatible devices and reducing separate power cabling requirements. The unit comes in an aluminium 4U form factor, features a DC-in power jack, and can be mounted on a wall or in a rack.

Advantages

The switch delivers full Gigabit throughput on all ports while offering four PoE-enabled ports, combining high bandwidth and centralised power distribution without complex configuration. Its unmanaged design eliminates the need for setup or maintenance of switching policies, and the robust aluminium housing supports deployment in both office and industrial environments. Auto-sensing for speed and MDI/MDI-X simplifies connectivity with different network devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting PoE devices such as IP cameras, access points and VoIP phones
• Small industrial or factory Ethernet segments requiring reliable Gigabit links
• Compact office networks where centralised power simplifies installation
• Edge deployments needing wall- or rack-mounted, space-saving switches

How to use

Install the MOXA EDS-G205A-4PoE-T by mounting it on a wall or in a rack using the supplied brackets and connect DC power to the DC-in jack. Plug network devices into the RJ-45 ports; ports 2–5 will supply PoE automatically to IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices when detected. Connect uplink or additional switches to the remaining port to expand the network. No configuration is required for basic connectivity—traffic flows automatically according to standard Ethernet behaviour.

Recommendations

To ensure stable PoE operation, verify total available power budget against the combined power requirements of connected devices and use appropriate cabling for Gigabit Ethernet. Place the switch in a ventilated area and follow standard grounding and mounting practices for industrial installations.
