Netwerk-videorecorder Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4/16P(B)

The Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4/16P(B) is a 1.5U network video recorder designed for reliable IP video surveillance in small to medium-sized installations. It supports up to 16 channels with a maximum input resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and integrates SATA HDD storage with capacities up to 10 TB. The recorder supports common network protocols and gigabit Ethernet connectivity for stable data transmission while offering optimized H.265+ and H.264+ compression to improve bandwidth efficiency and extend recording retention.

Advantages

This NVR combines multi-channel recording capability and high-resolution support with efficient video compression, which reduces storage and network load. The unit includes PoE ports to simplify camera power and data connections, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 ports for fast backup and peripheral connectivity, and a compact 1.5U chassis with a black and silver finish suitable for rack or shelf installation. Low typical power consumption and a wide AC input voltage range make it suitable for continuous operation.

Suitable for

• Retail stores and small shopping facilities requiring multi-camera monitoring
• Offices and corporate branches with up to 16 IP cameras
• Warehouses and light industrial sites needing long retention with efficient storage use
• Property management and residential complexes with centralized video recording

How to use

Install the DS-7716NI-I4/16P(B) in a rack or on a stable shelf and connect compatible IP cameras to the PoE ports or to your network switch. Insert a SATA HDD of suitable capacity and initialize it via the recorder's storage management menu. Connect the unit to your LAN using the RJ-45 port and configure network settings according to your site topology. Use the recorder's web interface or client software to add cameras, set recording schedules, define motion detection or event triggers, and manage user accounts. For backup and export, connect an external drive to the USB 3.2 Gen 1 or USB 2.0 ports and use the export functions in the interface.

Recommendations

For optimal long-term recording and bandwidth management, enable H.265+ compression on supported cameras, schedule continuous or event-based recording according to activity levels, and regularly check HDD health via the recorder's maintenance tools. Place the NVR in a well-ventilated, low-dust environment and ensure proper UPS protection if continuous operation is required.
