Netwerkadapter ShiverPeaks 08-10001 Toolless STP Cat. 6A, RJ45, afgeschermd, gereedschapsloze terminering

The ShiverPeaks Network adapter 08-10001 Toolless STP Cat. 6A is a shielded RJ45 termination designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over Cat6A cabling. It enables quick, tool-free termination of shielded twisted pair (STP) cables while preserving the continuity of the cable shield to maintain electromagnetic protection. The adapter is intended for structured cabling installations where secure, high-bandwidth connections and reliable signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This toolless STP Cat. 6A adapter provides fast installation without specialized tools, reducing termination time and labor. Its shielded construction preserves grounding and reduces electromagnetic interference, supporting stable 10 Gbps links. The RJ45 interface delivers compatibility with standard network equipment, while the compact design fits into typical patch panels and outlet boxes used in data centers and office networks.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over Cat6A cabling
• Data center patching and horizontal cabling
• Office network outlets and wall boxes
• Structured cabling installations requiring shield continuity

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6A (shielded STP)
• Connector type: RJ45 (shielded)
• Termination method: Toolless
• Bandwidth: Suitable for 10 Gbps Ethernet
• Shield continuity: Maintains cable shielding connection
• Compatibility: Designed for standard Cat6A patch cords and network ports

How to use

Strip the cable jacket and prepare the shielded pairs according to accepted cabling practice, leaving the drain wire accessible. Insert the prepared cable into the toolless termination body following the colour coding or alignment marks, ensuring the shield and drain wire make contact with the adapter’s shield connection point. Close the termination mechanism to secure conductors and shield continuity. Verify the physical connection and, if available, test the link using a network tester to confirm correct wiring and performance up to 10 Gbps.

Recommendations

Use this adapter in installations where preserving shield continuity is required for EMI protection. For best performance, pair the adapter with Cat6A-rated shielded cables and ensure proper grounding of the overall cabling system. Perform continuity and certification tests after termination to confirm compliance with performance requirements.
