Netwerkkaart LogiLink WL0237

The LogiLink WL0237 is a USB wireless network card that supports dual-band operation with combined data rates up to 600 Mbps. It uses the Realtek 8811AU chipset and is compatible with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac standards, providing both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz connectivity for desktop or laptop systems that need a USB WLAN interface.

Advantages

The adapter offers dual-band transmission with theoretical speeds of up to 150 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and up to 433 Mbps on 5.8 GHz, together summing to a 600 Mbps maximum. It supports common encryption standards including WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA-PSK, TKIP and AES for secure connections. The USB interface enables simple plug-and-play installation on systems with a compatible driver.

Suitable for

• Upgrading a desktop or laptop that lacks modern Wi‑Fi or has a faulty built‑in adapter
• Home or small office wireless internet access on 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands
• General web browsing, streaming at moderate resolutions and online communication

How to use

Connect the LogiLink WL0237 to an available USB port on your computer. Install the driver supplied by the operating system or the manufacturer if required. After driver installation, select the desired wireless network from the system network manager and enter the network password using the supported encryption method. For dual-band routers choose the band that matches your network or performance needs.

Recommendations

For optimal performance place the adapter where it has a clear line of sight to the router and avoid metal obstructions. Use the 5.8 GHz band for less interference and higher throughput when near the router, and the 2.4 GHz band for better range through walls and at longer distances.
