Netwerkkabel BlueOptics 4Z57A85044-BL QSFP28 4x SFP28 InfiniBand 2m zwart

The BlueOptics 4Z57A85044-BL QSFP28 4x SFP28 InfiniBand 2m Black is a 2-metre male-to-male high-performance fibre optic cable designed for InfiniBand and high-speed Ethernet interconnects. One end terminates in a QSFP28 connector and the other splits to four SFP28 connectors, enabling a single QSFP28 port to connect to up to four SFP28 ports. The cable's black jacket and compact form factor are suitable for dense rack environments and professional data centre installations. Its construction focuses on reliable low-latency, high-throughput transmission for server-to-switch, switch-to-switch, or direct-attach scenarios.

Advantages

This cable combines QSFP28 to 4x SFP28 connectivity to provide a flexible and space-saving way to interconnect high-speed ports without additional transceivers. The 2 m length supports common within-rack and short-reach top-of-rack layouts while minimizing excess cabling. The male-to-male termination ensures direct attach compatibility for equipment that supports passive or active DAC/AOC-style direct connections. The black outer jacket offers a neutral appearance and helps keep cabling organized in professional environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting a QSFP28 port to up to four SFP28 ports in data centre racks
• High-speed InfiniBand and 25/100 Gigabit Ethernet short-reach links
• Direct-attach links between servers, switches and storage arrays
• Cabling in dense or constrained rack spaces where a compact cable is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 m
• Connector type (end 1): QSFP28
• Connector type (end 2): 4 × SFP28
• Intended use: InfiniBand and high-speed Ethernet interconnects
• Weight: 0.25 kg
• Colour: Black

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the QSFP28 connector into the QSFP28 port and the four SFP28 connectors into the respective SFP28 ports until each latch engages. Ensure both ends are aligned and fully seated to achieve correct electrical and optical contact. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges and secure it with standard cable management to prevent strain on the connectors. Verify link status on connected devices and configure ports according to your network or InfiniBand fabric requirements.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this cable for short-reach interconnects within racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius and protect connector endfaces from dust when not in use. Confirm compatibility with your hardware vendor’s QSFP28 and SFP28 port specifications before deployment.
