Netwerkkabel Dätwyler Cables 21.05.0554 blauw 5m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dätwyler Cables 21.05.0554 Blue 5m Cat6a S/FTP is a 5-metre Ethernet patch cable designed for high-speed wired networks. Built to the Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this cable supports stable data transfer and reduced electromagnetic interference. The blue jacket provides a clear visual identification for organized cabling in homes, offices, or data closets.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity at higher frequencies. Cat6a performance enables reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet operation over the 5 m length, while factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact and simplified installation. The cable jacket and color allow easy routing and identification within structured cabling systems.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and patch panels in server rooms and network cabinets
• High-bandwidth desktop or workstation connections for video conferencing and large file transfers
• Home networking where minimized interference and consistent performance are required
• Temporary or permanent installations requiring a visible colored cable for organization

Key specifications

• Length: 5 metres
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Blue
• Supported network speeds: up to 10 Gbps over short runs

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices—such as a switch, router, patch panel, or network interface card—ensuring the latch clicks into place. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and sharp edges to preserve internal pair integrity and shielding. For fixed installations, secure the cable along cable management pathways or use clips that do not compress the jacket. When connecting equipment, power down or follow hot-swap guidelines as required by your hardware to avoid intermittent link issues.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for short to medium runs where 10 Gbps performance and immunity to electromagnetic interference are important. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines; maintain separation where possible. Inspect connectors for damage before use and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show visible wear.
