Netwerkkabel EFB Elektronik RJ45 S/FTP Cat6a RJ-45 2 m geel

The EFB Elektronik RJ45 S/FTP Cat6a networking cable is a 2 m halogen-free patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission and reliable wired connections. It uses S/FTP (screened foiled/foiled twisted pair) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and is coded to the TIA/EIA 568B pinout. The cable is Cat6a-rated for up to 1000 MHz bandwidth and comes with two RJ-45 connectors for straightforward plug-and-play installation. Its yellow jacket improves visibility in patch panels and cabling runs.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction offers improved protection against crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded alternatives. Cat6a specification supports higher data rates and extended performance up to 1000 MHz, suitable for demanding network applications. The halogen-free jacket reduces harmful emissions in case of fire, and the standardized TIA/EIA 568B coding ensures compatibility with common network terminations.

Suitable for

• Office and data center patching
• High-speed Ethernet connections (1 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s where supported)
• Structured cabling installations requiring shielded cables
• Environments where cable visibility is useful (yellow color)

Key specifications

• Brand / MPN / EAN: EFB Elektronik / K8055.2 / 4049759013363

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (switch, router, or network card) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the remote device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched. For best performance, avoid sharp bends, excessive tension, and proximity to strong electrical noise sources. Use appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and reduce mechanical stress.

Recommendations

For optimal signal integrity, install this Cat6a S/FTP cable in shielded or properly grounded environments. When connecting to equipment that does not require shielding, confirm grounding practices to prevent ground loops. Replace cables showing physical damage or connector wear.
