Netwerkkabel Gembird PP6U-2M RJ-45 Cat6 2m blauw

The Gembird PP6U-2M is a 2 m Cat6 networking patch cord with RJ-45 8P8C connectors. It uses AWG24 stranded conductors in an unshielded U/UTP configuration and features moulded strain relief and 50 µin gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable connectivity for home or office Ethernet networks.

Advantages

This Cat6 cable supports higher data rates and reduced crosstalk compared with lower-category cables, while the moulded strain relief increases connector durability. Gold-plated contacts improve signal transmission and resist corrosion. The 2 m length and blue jacket make it convenient for tidy routing and easy identification in patch panels or desktop setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers on a local network
• Patch connections between wall outlets and network equipment
• Home and small office Ethernet installations
• Short-run connections in server rooms and wiring closets

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6
• Length: 2 m
• Conductor: AWG24 stranded
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded)
• Connectors: RJ-45 (8P8C), both ends
• Contacts: 50 µin gold-plated
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices (for example, between a computer and a switch or from a wall socket to a router). Ensure connectors click into place and avoid sharp bends near the ends to maintain signal integrity. For best results, keep the cable routed away from strong electromagnetic sources and avoid excessive tension on the moulded strain relief.

Recommendations

For reliable performance at Cat6 speeds, use this cable for connections up to 2 meters indoors. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors are visibly damaged, and avoid running it alongside high-voltage power lines to minimize interference.
