Netwerkkabel Gembird PP8-LSZHCU-BK-2M RJ-45 Cat8 2m zwart

The Gembird PP8-LSZHCU-BK-2M is a Cat8 networking cable designed for high-speed data transmission in modern wired networks. It features S/FTP construction with foil-shielded pairs and an overall braided shield to reduce electromagnetic interference, gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for reliable contact, and a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket that minimizes toxic fumes in case of fire.

Advantages

Shielded foil pairs combined with a braided overall shield improve signal integrity and reduce crosstalk. Gold-plated connectors and contacts provide corrosion resistance and stable connections. The LSZH jacket offers enhanced safety in enclosed spaces. Molded strain reliefs and snagless boots protect the connector and cable connection against mechanical stress and accidental snags.

Suitable for

• High-speed backbone connections in data centres and server rooms
• Connections between switches, routers and network appliances
• High-performance home or office Ethernet links for 25/40/100 Gbps environments (where supported)
• Environments requiring low-smoke, halogen-free cabling

Key specifications

• Cable standard: Cat8 (S/FTP — foil shielded pairs + braided shield)
• Length: 2 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (switch, router, NIC or other Ethernet port) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the second device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; the molded strain reliefs reduce stress at connector ends but do not replace proper cable management.

Recommendations

The cable is intended for indoor use in structured cabling and point-to-point links. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and maintain bend radius recommendations typical for Cat8 cables. Verify device support for higher Ethernet speeds when deploying in 25/40/100 Gbps setups.
