Netwerkkabel GOOBAY Cat6 U/UTP zwart 60 m met RJ-45 vergulde contacten

GOOBAY Cat6 U/UTP networking cable, 60 m length, provides Cat6 performance for Gigabit Ethernet connections up to 1000 Mbit/s. The cable features an unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) design in a black polyethylene jacket and is fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable mating and corrosion resistance. Constructed for both indoor structured cabling and demanding outdoor installations, the cable’s double-layer polyethylene jacket offers enhanced weather and UV resistance for prolonged use in exposed environments.

Advantages

The cable combines Cat6 transmission characteristics with RJ-45 gold-plated contacts to deliver stable data transfer and reduced contact oxidation. Unshielded twisted pair construction supports standard network topologies while keeping cable stiffness and handling moderate. The double-layer polyethylene jacket improves mechanical durability and provides resistance to weathering and ultraviolet radiation, making the cable suitable for exposed outdoor runs as well as internal office or home installations.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers and PCs
• Patch panels and structured cabling in offices and homes
• Outdoor installations such as gardens, campsites and building facades
• Connecting networked surveillance cameras and outdoor network devices

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Topology: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Length: 60 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 terminated on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket: double-layer polyethylene, black, UV- and weather-resistant
• Data rate support: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)

How to use

Measure the required run and position the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress. Terminated with RJ-45 plugs, the cable can be plugged directly into network devices such as switches, routers, patch panels and cameras. For outdoor routing, secure the cable along walls or conduits and avoid prolonged contact with standing water; use appropriate grommets or sealing where it passes through building envelopes. When installing in structured cabling systems, follow standard network installation practices and test continuity and performance after installation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term outdoor operation, mount cable away from direct heat sources, avoid tight bends and secure runs at regular intervals. Use weatherproof connectors or additional sealing where connectors are exposed to the elements. Test the installed link with a network cable tester to confirm Cat6 performance and correct wiring before putting equipment into service.
