Netwerkkabel PatchSee Cat6 FTP 4,9 m zwart

The PatchSee Cat6 FTP 4.9m Black is a 4.9-metre networking patch cord designed for Category 6 structured cabling. The cable features an FTP construction with individually foil-shielded pairs and a black outer sheath; the boot is grey to distinguish it from black-booted Category 5e patch cords. It conforms to EIA/TIA 568-B2.2-1 Category 6 requirements and is supplied with a 25 year guarantee for use in Category 6 channels interoperable with any cabling system.

Advantages

The foil-shielded pairs (FTP) reduce electromagnetic interference and help maintain signal integrity over the 4.9 m length. A grey boot provides quick visual differentiation from Category 5e cables with black boots. Each patch cord undergoes 100% electrical testing, with test results saved to a database and every unit identified by a unique serial number, supporting traceability and quality assurance. The construction materials use a PVC sheath for UTP variants and a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSOH) sheath for FTP variants.

Suitable for

• Horizontal and patching links within Category 6 structured cabling
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference (FTP)
• Office and data cabinet patching where clear cable identification is needed

Key specifications

• Standard: EIA/TIA 568-B2.2-1 Category 6
• Cable type: FTP with individually foil-shielded pairs (also available as UTP with plastic cross web)
• Length: 4.9 m
• Colour: Black sheath with grey boot
• Sheath material: PVC for UTP, LSOH (zero halogen) for FTP
• Quality control: 100% electrical testing, results stored in database, unique serial number per cord
• Guarantee: 25 years for Category 6 channel use

How to use

Connect the PatchSee Cat6 FTP patch cord between compatible RJ45 ports on network switches, patch panels, or devices. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Use the grey boot to quickly identify Category 6 cables in mixed-cable installations. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and secured to maintain reliable link performance.

Recommendations

For installations requiring reduced smoke and halogen emissions, choose the FTP variant with LSOH sheath. Use colour-coded PatchClips for first-level identification and maintain the unique serial number records to support asset management and warranty verification.
