Netwerkkabel Renkforce RF-4149867 3m Cat6a S/FTP grijs

The Renkforce RF-4149867 3m Cat6a S/FTP Grey network cable provides a durable, shielded connection for high-speed wired networking. Designed to support data rates up to 10000 Mbit/s, this 3-metre cable uses Cat6a specifications and S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and resist corrosion, while the grey outer jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for office and home installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (foil-wrapped pairs plus an overall braided shield) ensures improved signal integrity in environments with potential interference from nearby cables and electronic equipment. The Cat6a specification allows stable transmission at up to 10 Gbps for short to moderate distances. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide consistent contact quality and lower contact resistance compared with non-plated connectors. The 3 metre length balances reach and cable management for typical desk-to-switch or patch panel connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, switches, and routers within small office or home networks
• Patch panel and rack connections where shielded cabling is required
• High-speed data transfer tasks such as file transfers, backups, and media streaming
• Environments with nearby electrical equipment that can cause interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Length: 3 metres
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil around pairs plus overall braid)
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s (10 Gbps)
• Color: Grey

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device (PC, switch, router or patch panel) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension that could damage the shielding or conductors. For installations in racks or along walls, use appropriate cable management accessories to keep the run organized and minimize strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimum performance, keep cable runs within recommended distances for 10 Gbps transmission and avoid running parallel to power cables. Use shielded ports or grounded equipment when deploying S/FTP cables to ensure the shielding is effective. Inspect connectors periodically for dust or damage and replace the cable if shielding or the jacket shows signs of wear.
