Netwerkkabel ROLINE 21.15.2643 Blauw 3m Cat6 S/FTP

The ROLINE 21.15.2643 Blue 3m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is a straight-through Ethernet cable designed to deliver stable Gigabit-class connections over a three-meter reach. It conforms to Cat6 performance expectations and uses S/FTP shielding (overall screen plus individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and finished in blue, the cable is suitable for visible routing and standard patching tasks in small networks, deskside set-ups, and equipment interconnects.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction provides enhanced protection against external noise and near-end crosstalk compared with unshielded solutions, helping to maintain signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or electronic devices. The Cat6 specification supports higher frequencies and data rates than Cat5e, enabling reliable performance for Gigabit Ethernet applications. The molded RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent terminations and plug-in compatibility with standard network ports. The three-meter length offers flexibility for placing devices within a typical workstation or rack-to-desk connection without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches, routers and patch panels within offices and home networks
• Desk-to-switch patching in small and medium-sized installations
• Temporary or permanent links between networked AV equipment

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6 performance class
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid/foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 3 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Blue

How to use

Route the cable between the two network devices, ensuring the RJ-45 plugs are inserted fully into the Ethernet ports until they click. Avoid tight bends or kinks and keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as unshielded power cables or large transformers. If used in a patch panel or switch stack, dress the cable to avoid strain on the connector and allow sufficient slack for maintenance. For best performance, replace damaged or severely twisted cables and confirm link speed in the device network settings.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable where reduced interference is needed and for typical Gigabit Ethernet connections up to 3 meters. For environments with extreme electromagnetic noise or where routing near power lines is unavoidable, verify shielding continuity and consider additional grounding practices at equipment racks.
