Netwerkkabel ROLINE CAT.6a S/FTP grijs 5 m

S/FTP Patch Cord Cat.6A, Component Level, LSOH, grey, 5 m. The ROLINE CAT.6a S/FTP networking cable is a 5-metre grey patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission and reliable device interconnection. It complies with the EIA/TIA 568 contact assignment (1:1) and uses a four-pair stranded copper conductor with full braid shielding and individually foil-shielded pairs.

Advantages

This patch cable provides reduced electromagnetic interference due to complete braid shielding combined with aluminium-clad polyester foil around each pair (S/FTP). It comes with screened RJ-45 connectors on both ends and gold-plated contacts for stable signal transfer. The moulded kink protection increases durability, while the flexible construction allows routing in narrow bends. The cable meets CAT.6a requirements at component level and uses LSOH jacket material.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers in office or data centre environments
• High-speed Ethernet links up to CAT.6a performance
• Applications requiring reduced electromagnetic interference (e.g., near power lines or other cabling)
• Patch panels and structured cabling installations

Key specifications

• Brand: ROLINE
• Model: CAT.6a S/FTP
• Length: 5 m
• Cable standard: Cat6a (component level)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil on each pair)
• Conductor: 4-pair stranded copper
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, screened, gold-plated contacts
• Contact assignment: 1:1 (EIA/TIA 568)
• Jacket: LSOH
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Plug the screened RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other end into the target switch, patch panel or router. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and the moulded kink protection is positioned to prevent sharp bends near the connector. Route the cable avoiding excessive tension and maintain bend radii appropriate for structured cabling to preserve signal quality.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this CAT.6a S/FTP patch cord in installations requiring improved shielding; avoid running it parallel and close to high-voltage power cables. Replace cables that show visible damage to the jacket or connectors and use appropriate cable management on patch panels and racks to prevent strain.
