Netwerkkabel rood Cat7 S/FTP RJ45-RJ45 0,5m ShiverPeaks

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable Red Cat7 S/FTP RJ45-RJ45 0.5m is a short, high-performance Ethernet patch cable designed for reliable data connections between network devices. Constructed to Cat7 specifications with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ45 contacts, the cable supports high data rates while reducing crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Its 0.5 metre length and red jacket make it suitable for tidy cable management in racks, patch panels, desktops and home network setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair with overall braid) design provides strong protection against near-end crosstalk and external noise sources, improving signal integrity for demanding applications. Gold-plated contacts enhance conductivity and resist corrosion, ensuring stable electrical contact over time. The Cat7 specification and high-quality construction deliver consistent performance for short interconnects where low latency and minimal packet loss are important.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels in data centres and server rooms
• High-speed workstation or desktop network connections
• AV installations and IP-based cameras requiring shielded cabling
• Home networks and small office setups where clear cable identification is useful

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual pair foil + overall braid)
• Connectors: RJ45 to RJ45, 8P8C
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Jacket colour: Red
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper

How to use

Plug one RJ45 connector into the network port of your device and the other connector into the corresponding port on your switch, router or patch panel. For best performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with large power lines and keep the connection length within the specified 0.5 m range to maintain signal integrity. Verify link speed and duplex settings on connected devices after installation.

Recommendations

The cable is intended for short-distance patching and device interconnects; use shielded terminations and properly grounded equipment to realize the benefits of S/FTP shielding. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force when routing through racks or trays.
