Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 0,25 m groen

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 0.25 m Green is a short, shielded networking cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections where a compact link is required. With a 0.25 m length and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this Cat6a cable supports high data transfer rates and reduces signal degradation in environments with potential electromagnetic interference thanks to its S/FTP shielding. The cable’s green jacket provides clear visual identification in patch panels, desktop setups, or bundled cable runs.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP construction combines overall foil shielding with individually shielded pairs to improve noise rejection and maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. Its Cat6a specification enables support for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short distances, while the short 0.25 m length minimizes excess cable, reduces clutter, and supports tidy, efficient connections between adjacent ports. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure broad compatibility with network equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting adjacent switch or patch panel ports in server rooms or data cabinets
• Short link connections between network devices on a desk or rack
• High-speed Ethernet setups requiring interference protection
• Color-coded cable management in small installations

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Length: 0.25 m
• Color: Green

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network ports on your devices, ensuring the connector latches are fully engaged. Use this short cable to connect adjacent ports on switches, patch panels or network appliances where a compact, low-profile link is preferred. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling when routing the cable to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. If used in a rack or patch panel, arrange the cable to follow existing cable management paths to maintain airflow and accessibility.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP cable for short-distance, high-speed links and in environments with potential electromagnetic interference. Do not exceed recommended bend radius and avoid stretching the cable; secure connections in patch panels and switches to prevent accidental disconnection. Choose color-coded lengths to simplify network organization.
