Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 15 m wit

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 15 m White networking cable provides a 15-metre connection for high-speed Ethernet networks. Designed with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, the cable supports reliable data transmission over longer runs and is compatible with devices using RJ-45 ports. The white jacket offers a discreet appearance suitable for office, home, or data-centre environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity for higher bandwidth applications. The Cat6a specification supports elevated data rates and enhanced performance compared with earlier categories, while the 15 m length allows flexible placement of networked devices. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure broad compatibility with switches, routers, network cards and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections in homes and offices
• Connecting switches, routers and access points at medium distances
• Structured cabling runs in small server rooms and workstations
• High-bandwidth applications such as streaming, VoIP and file transfers

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: White

How to use

Route the cable from the network device to the destination port, avoiding tight bends and points of mechanical stress. Insert the RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding port until it clicks. For optimal performance, keep the cable away from heavy electrical equipment and power cables that could introduce electromagnetic interference. If the cable needs to be run through walls or conduits, ensure it is compatible with local building codes and installation practices.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat6a SFTP cable for connections where increased shielding and bandwidth are required. Maintain bend radii recommended for Ethernet cables, avoid kinking, and use cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors. Regularly inspect connectors for debris and ensure secure seating to preserve connection stability.
