Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 15 m zwart

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 15 m Black networking cable provides a 15-metre link for high-speed wired connections. Designed to meet Cat6a standards, the cable includes S/FTP shielding that combines an overall foil shield with individually braided shields around the pairs to reduce electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. Both ends terminate in standard RJ-45 connectors, enabling plug-and-play installation with routers, switches, network interface cards and other Ethernet devices in home and office environments.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP construction enhances signal integrity over longer runs and in environments with multiple electronic devices. Compliance with Cat6a performance characteristics supports higher bandwidths and improved throughput compared with lower category cables. The 15 m length offers flexibility for connecting equipment across rooms without the need for additional adapters, and the black jacket provides an unobtrusive appearance for visible cable runs.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between PCs, switches and routers
• Home offices and small business network setups
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, online gaming and large file transfers
• Temporary or permanent cabling where a 15 m reach is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Length: 15 m
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem and the other connector to the Ethernet port of your computer, gaming console, smart TV or networked device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click into place. For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and heavy kinks in the cable and keep the cable routed away from high-power electrical wiring and devices that may generate interference.

Recommendations

For stable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit links, use the full length without excessive twists and allow some slack at both ends. If running the cable near mains wiring or transformers, maintain separation or use conduit to minimize potential interference. Inspect connectors periodically for debris and ensure strain relief at connection points to extend cable life.
