Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 3 m grijs

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 3 m Grey networking cable provides a 3-meter connection designed for high-speed wired networks. It uses Cat6a specifications and S/FTP shielding to support increased data rates while minimizing electromagnetic interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the cable is compatible with routers, switches, network cards and other Ethernet-ready devices. The neutral grey jacket offers unobtrusive integration into home or office setups.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around individual pairs and an overall shield reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity for demanding network applications. The Cat6a category supports higher bandwidth and data throughput compared with lower category cables, making it suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over shorter runs. Standard RJ-45 terminations ensure broad device compatibility and simple plug-and-play installation.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between PCs, switches and routers in home networks
• Office workstations and network closets requiring reliable Ethernet links
• Audio/video streaming and online gaming where stable throughput is required
• Temporary or permanent network cabling in small server rooms

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (screened foil twisted pair with overall braid)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 3 m
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your source device (router, switch or network interface) and the other connector into the destination device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain gentle curves with a bending radius consistent with network cabling good practice. For fixed installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management to prevent strain at the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as power transformers, fluorescent lighting or large motor-driven equipment. When planning 10 Gigabit Ethernet links, use the shortest feasible cable runs and verify that connected hardware supports the intended speeds.
