Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Sharkoon patch-netwerkkabel SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 10 meter wit

The Sharkoon patch network cable SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 10 meters in white provides a flexible, shielded connection for wired networks. Designed to meet Cat.7a performance, this patch cable supports high-speed data transmission and offers stronger protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with lower-category cables. The 10 m length gives room to route between devices in home or office setups while the RJ-45 connectors enable straightforward plug-and-play installation.

Advantages

This SFTP cable combines overall foil shielding with individual pair shielding to reduce noise and preserve signal integrity over longer runs. Cat.7a specification ensures compatibility with Gigabit and higher-speed Ethernet networks, offering stable throughput for data, voice and video applications. The white jacket provides a discreet appearance for visible installations and is flexible enough for routing through cable channels or around furniture.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and networked devices in homes and small offices
• Wired desktop connections for PCs, NAS devices and printers
• Audio/video streaming and online gaming where low-latency wired links are required
• Structured cabling runs that require enhanced shielding to minimise interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.7a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 10 meters
• Colour: White
• Suitable for: Ethernet networks up to Cat.7a performance levels

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plug into the network port on your router, switch or device until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Route the 10 m cable to avoid tight bends and pinch points that could damage the conductors or shielding. For best results, keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and large electrical equipment to reduce the risk of interference. If terminating in patch panels or wall outlets, use appropriate cable management and follow standard wiring schemes.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, avoid kinking the cable and maintain bend radii above the manufacturer’s minimum. Use this Cat.7a SFTP cable where additional shielding is needed, such as near electrical equipment or in dense cabling environments. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage.
