Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-64014 Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF, twisted-pair-ethernetkabel

ShiverPeaks 08-64014 Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF twisted pair Ethernet cable is designed for structured cabling and high-speed LAN connections. The cable uses individually foil-shielded pairs (PIMF) beneath an overall braided shield (S/FTP) to minimize crosstalk and protect data integrity in environments with electromagnetic interference. It is suitable for use in office networks, server rooms and data closets where reliable Gigabit Ethernet performance is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction provides improved protection against alien crosstalk and external EMI compared with unshielded cables. Individually shielded pairs help maintain signal quality for high data rates while the overall braid increases mechanical robustness and grounding effectiveness. The cable supports Cat 6 performance characteristics for reliable Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed data transmission over typical structured cabling distances.

Suitable for

• Structured office LANs and horizontal cabling
• Server cabinets and data closets with moderate EMI
• Gigabit Ethernet connections for workstations and network devices
• Patch panels and keystone jacks in structured cabling installations

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6 performance class suitable for Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP – overall braided shield with individually foil‑shielded twisted pairs (PIMF)
• Conductor: twisted pair copper conductors
• Signal protection: reduced crosstalk and improved EMI resistance
• Typical applications: horizontal and patch cabling for LAN environments
• Available colour and length options: including short patch lengths (example: red, 0.5 m)

How to use

Install the cable by routing it through the structured cabling pathways to the required network ports, patch panels or devices. Terminate the cable using compatible Cat 6 RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks or factory-terminated patch leads, ensuring the shielding is correctly bonded to the outlet or patch panel ground where applicable. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation to preserve pair geometry and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance maintain proper grounding of shielded components, follow Cat 6 installation best practices, and use certified termination hardware. Keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and noisy electrical equipment when possible to further reduce electromagnetic interference.
