Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-64032 CAT6 S/FTP PIMF, compatibel met massieve en soepele ader

ShiverPeaks 08-64032 CAT6 S/FTP PIMF network cable is designed for Ethernet connections requiring Cat6 performance. The cable features pair-level metal foil shielding (PIMF) combined with an overall braided shield (S/FTP), which reduces external electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. Compatible with both solid and stranded terminations, this cable is suitable for structured cabling installations, horizontal runs and patching between switches, patch panels and network devices in office or data center environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction provides enhanced protection against EMI and minimizes near-end and far-end crosstalk, preserving signal integrity for high-speed Ethernet links. Compatibility with solid and stranded conductor terminations allows flexible use in permanent links and patch cords. The cable's Cat6 performance supports reliable data transmission for Gigabit Ethernet and other applications that require consistent bandwidth and reduced interference.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in offices and commercial buildings
• Horizontal runs between patch panels and wall outlets
• Patching between switches, routers and network appliances
• Data center horizontal and cabinet-to-cabinet connections

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance for Ethernet networking
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield with individually foil‑shielded pairs (PIMF)
• Conductor compatibility: suitable for both solid and stranded terminations
• Typical use: horizontal cabling, patching and permanent links

How to use

Terminate the cable according to standard Cat6 installation practices, observing correct pair untwisting limits and proper shield grounding. When terminating to RJ45 connectors or patch panels, ensure the foil and braid are correctly connected to the connector’s shield termination point or drain wire is used to maintain continuity. Route the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise and avoid sharp bends to preserve performance.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this S/FTP PIMF Cat6 cable in environments where reduced interference is required. Terminate and ground shields properly, maintain recommended bend radius, and test installed links with a Cat6-capable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance.
