Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-64065 CAT6 S/FTP PIMF, afgeschermde twisted-pair-kabel voor gestructureerde bekabeling

ShiverPeaks 08-64065 CAT6 S/FTP PIMF is a shielded twisted pair network cable engineered for structured cabling in commercial and technical environments. With overall braid shielding combined with individually foil‑shielded pairs (S/FTP, PIMF), the cable is intended to support Gigabit Ethernet performance while minimising electromagnetic interference. It is suitable for horizontal and backbone runs in offices, server rooms, and data centres where enhanced signal integrity is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF design provides dual-level shielding that reduces crosstalk and external EMI, improving stability for high-speed data transmission. Constructed to meet CAT6 performance parameters, the cable supports reliable Gigabit networking and can be integrated into structured cabling systems. Its robust shielding and controlled pair geometry contribute to consistent attenuation and return loss characteristics across standard frequencies used in Ethernet applications.

Suitable for

• Horizontal cabling in office environments and open-plan workspaces
• Backbone and interconnect runs between distribution points
• Server rooms and data centre patching where EMI protection is needed
• Gigabit Ethernet connections for switches, routers, and networked devices

Key specifications

• Category: CAT6 performance for Ethernet networks
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield with individually foil‑shielded pairs (PIMF)
• Cable type: shielded twisted pair for structured cabling
• Intended use: horizontal and backbone network installations
• Performance: supports Gigabit Ethernet and standard CAT6 frequency ranges

How to use

Route the cable following local building and cabling standards, avoiding close parallel runs with power lines to reduce potential interference. Terminate using compatible shielded RJ45 connectors and ensure the braid and pair shields are properly grounded at patch panels or outlets. Maintain bend radius recommendations during installation and secure the cable at regular intervals to prevent strain and preserve signal performance.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use the cable within standard CAT6 installation guidelines: keep cable lengths within link limits for Gigabit Ethernet, maintain proper grounding for shields, and perform certification testing after installation to verify performance and continuity.
