Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-80107 Cat 7 S/FTP halogeenvrij, afgeschermd getwist paar

ShiverPeaks Network Cable 08-80107 is a Cat 7 S/FTP halogen-free installation cable engineered for high-speed data transmission and enhanced shielding. The cable combines individually shielded twisted pairs with an overall foil and braid shield to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. It is intended for structured cabling in data centers, office networks and home installations where improved signal integrity and halogen-free materials are required.

Advantages

The Cat 7 S/FTP design provides strong protection against external electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. Halogen-free jacket improves fire safety by reducing toxic fumes in case of combustion. The cable is suitable for permanent installation runs and supports high bandwidths typical for Cat 7 specifications. Constructed with copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductors, it offers a cost-effective alternative to pure copper while maintaining shielding performance.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Structured cabling in commercial buildings
• Server rooms and data center horizontal cabling
• Office Ethernet networks and workplace connections
• Residential installations requiring shielded cable and halogen-free jacket

How to use

Measure and plan the cable route according to installation requirements, maintaining recommended bend radius and separation from strong electrical sources. Terminate the cable with compatible Cat 7 RJ45 connectors or keystone jacks designed for S/FTP cables and follow standard cabling practices for shielding termination to preserve overall and pair shields. Test each installed run with appropriate network testers to confirm continuity, pair mapping and performance.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid sharp bends and tensile stress during installation, and ensure shielding is correctly grounded at one or both ends according to local cabling standards. Use connectors and patch panels rated for Cat 7 to maintain specified shielding and bandwidth.
