Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75711-AS CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF, 4-pairs, 10 Gbit/s-geschikt

ShiverPeaks 75711-AS CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF network cable is engineered for structured cabling that requires reliable 10 Gbps-capable performance and advanced shielding. The cable contains four individually foil‑shielded twisted pairs plus an overall braided screen to minimise electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. Constructed to meet CAT 6A requirements, it is suitable for backbone links, server connections, PoE systems and high-density LAN environments where bandwidth and signal integrity are essential.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF structure provides enhanced protection against external noise and near‑end crosstalk, improving link stability for high-speed Ethernet. Halogen‑free materials reduce toxic emission risk in case of fire. The cable supports 10 Gbps data rates over the appropriate channel length and is designed for compatibility with CAT 6A connectors and certified installations. Its braided outer shield and individual pair foil shields ensure consistent performance in electrically noisy environments.

Suitable for

• Data centre rack-to-rack and server connections
• Office LAN backbone and horizontal cabling
• Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments including PoE+ and higher
• High-density switching environments and structured cabling systems

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6A
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil around each twisted pair)
• Pairs: 4 twisted pairs, individually foil shielded (PIMF)
• Ethernet capability: supports 10 Gbps over appropriate channel length
• Conductor type: stranded or solid copper (refer to product variant)
• Fire safety: halogen‑free jacket
• Colour: black

How to use

Install the cable as part of a structured cabling link using compatible CAT 6A connectors and workmanship that preserves pair geometry and shielding continuity. Terminate the cable using shielded RJ45 plugs or keystone jacks that provide a reliable connection to the braided outer shield and individual pair foils. Maintain proper bend radius during installation and avoid prolonged exposure to excessive mechanical stress. For permanent links, follow channel and patching guidelines to ensure the cable meets 10 Gbps performance over the specified distance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this S/FTP cable in shielded installations with grounded racks or panels to ensure the braided outer shield is properly earthed. When deploying PoE, verify connector and patch panel ratings for the intended power class and check thermal conditions in high-density bundles to avoid overheating.
