Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75711-B CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF blauw, bulkdatakabel

ShiverPeaks 75711-B CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF Blue bulk data cable is a high-performance network cable designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and demanding structured-cabling environments. The cable features S/FTP construction with individually foil-shielded twisted pairs and an overall braid shield, providing controlled impedance and reduced alien crosstalk for reliable high-speed data transmission. Its blue jacket and bulk length format make it suitable for backbone and horizontal runs, patching, and permanent link installations in offices, server rooms, and data centers.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction ensures improved protection against electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives, supporting stable 10 Gb/s links over typical CAT 6A distances. The cable's consistent impedance and robust shielding simplify termination and testing, while the bulk format allows flexible length cuts for site-specific installation needs. The blue outer jacket provides clear visual identification in mixed-cable environments.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet backbone and horizontal cabling
• Office and open-plan workspace network runs
• Data center interconnects and server room cabling
• Patch panels, keystone jacks, and structured cabling systems

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6A suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Construction: S/FTP (overall braid shield with foil-shielded twisted pairs)
• Pair type: Pair in metal foil (PIMF) with individually shielded pairs
• Colour: Blue outer jacket
• Application: Bulk data cable for horizontal and backbone runs, patching, and permanent links
• Electrical characteristics: Designed for controlled impedance and reduced crosstalk

How to use

Measure and cut the bulk cable to the required lengths for horizontal runs, patch cables, or permanent link installations. Strip the outer jacket and carefully prepare the individually shielded pairs for termination, keeping shielding intact until ready to connect to shielded connectors or panels. Terminate using compatible CAT 6A S/FTP-capable connectors or patch panels according to manufacturer instructions, and verify continuity, pair integrity, and alien crosstalk performance with appropriate certification tools.

Recommendations

Route the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference and maintain recommended bend radius during installation. Use compatible shielded connectors and ensure proper grounding of shield termination to benefit from the S/FTP shielding. Perform post-installation testing to confirm CAT 6A performance parameters and to document link certification.
