Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75717-AS CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF, massieve datakabel

ShiverPeaks 75717-AS CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF network cable is designed for high-speed Ethernet and structured cabling environments. As a Category 6A cable, it supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over horizontal and backbone links and provides improved resistance to alien crosstalk. The S/FTP construction—an overall braided shield combined with individually foil‑screened pairs—reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, making the cable suitable for installations that require stable, high-bandwidth data transmission.

Advantages

The cable's CAT 6A rating enables reliable 10 Gigabit performance where bandwidth and signal integrity are required. The S/FTP PIMF shielding offers robust protection against external EMI and pair-to-pair interference, helping maintain signal quality in dense cabling environments. The halogen‑free construction reduces toxic gas emission in case of fire and supports compliance with modern building safety preferences. Available in a black jacket and produced to industry quality standards, it is intended for professional network installations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet horizontal runs and backbone cabling
• Server rooms, data centres and network closets
• Structured cabling in offices and commercial buildings
• Environments with significant electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6A
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil‑screened pairs)
• Pair construction: PIMF (pairs in metal foil)
• Performance: supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Jacket: halogen‑free, black
• Application: bulk data cable for structured cabling and backbone runs

How to use

Install the ShiverPeaks CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF cable following standard structured cabling practices. Route the cable through conduits or cable trays, avoiding sharp bends and sources of mechanical stress. Terminate each end with compatible CAT 6A connectors or keystone jacks that support foil‑shielded pairs and overall braid; ensure proper drain wire or shield termination to maintain continuity. Test links after installation with a certified cable tester to verify performance up to 10 Gbps and to check for continuity, pair integrity, and shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For best results, keep cable runs within recommended length limits for Ethernet standards, avoid running parallel to large power cabling for extended distances, and use shielded patch cords and properly grounded panels when connecting to active equipment to preserve the shielding benefits.
