Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75717-AW CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF, afgeschermde twisted-pair voor 10GbE

ShiverPeaks 75717-AW CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF is a shielded twisted pair network cable engineered for high-speed Ethernet applications up to 10GbE. The cable uses an overall foil shield combined with individually shielded pairs (S/FTP) and a PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) structure to minimise electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. Designed for structured cabling in data centres, server racks and office environments, this cable supports both horizontal and backbone links where shielded CAT 6A performance and enhanced signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This shielded CAT 6A cable delivers consistent 10GbE performance with improved noise immunity thanks to its overall shield and individually shielded pairs. The PIMF construction enhances pair separation and reduces alien crosstalk, ensuring reliable throughput in dense cable environments. The halogen-free jacket reduces toxic gas emission in case of fire, and the cable’s compliance with industry certification ensures suitability for professional installations requiring stable, high-bandwidth connections.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in data centres and server rooms
• Structured cabling for modern office networks
• Backbone and horizontal cabling where shielded CAT 6A is required
• Environments with elevated electromagnetic interference
• Applications needing reliable, low-crosstalk cabling for PoE and high-bandwidth services

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT 6A
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Construction: PIMF (pairs in metal foil)
• Rated speed: up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Jacket: halogen-free
• Colour: white
• Length: 7.5 m

How to use

Install the cable as part of a structured cabling system by routing between patch panels, switches and endpoint devices. Terminate with compatible CAT 6A shielded connectors and ensure proper grounding of the shield at designated points to maintain shielding effectiveness. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress during installation; follow recommended bend radius and cable management practices to preserve performance. Use appropriate labeling to record link endpoints and length for maintenance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, pair this S/FTP PIMF cable with shielded CAT 6A patch panels and RJ45 connectors; maintain shield continuity and proper grounding in the installation. Keep separation from high-power electrical lines where possible and adhere to installation standards for CAT 6A to achieve certified 10GbE performance.
