Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75720-AG CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF, twisted pair, AWG niet gespecificeerd

ShiverPeaks 75720-AG CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF is a high-performance network cable engineered for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and other high-speed data applications. The cable features individually foil-shielded twisted pairs combined with an overall braided shield to minimize crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. Designed for structured cabling in data centers, server rooms and enterprise networks, this cable supports reliable high-bandwidth transmission over horizontal and backbone links where enhanced shielding and signal integrity are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction provides superior protection against alien crosstalk and external electromagnetic disturbance, improving signal quality at higher frequencies typical for CAT 6A operation. A full braided outer shield enhances mechanical robustness and grounding capability, while the individually shielded pairs reduce pair-to-pair interference. The cable is suitable for installations requiring halogen-free materials and meets industry standards for performance in 10 Gbps Ethernet environments.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in data centers and server rooms
• Shielded structured cabling in commercial and industrial environments
• High-density patch panels and rack-mounted switches
• Environments with elevated electromagnetic interference (EMI)

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6A (10 Gigabit Ethernet)
• Construction: S/FTP PIMF — individually foil-shielded twisted pairs with overall braid
• Conductor: twisted pair copper
• Shielding: per-pair foil plus full braided shield
• Application: horizontal and backbone cabling, patching
• Typical use: data center, server room, structured cabling
• Color: green

How to use

Install the cable following standard structured cabling practices: route the cable through cable trays or conduits, avoid tight bends and excessive pulling tension, and maintain recommended separation from power lines. Terminate the cable with compatible CAT 6A S/FTP connectors and shielded RJ45 plugs and ensure the braid is properly bonded to the connector shield and grounding point. Test each run with a CAT 6A/10G-capable cable tester to verify continuity, pair mapping and performance parameters such as near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and return loss.

Recommendations

Use this cable in shielded or grounded installations to maximize EMI protection. For long horizontal runs, follow channel length limits for CAT 6A; when terminating, preserve the shield continuity and avoid untwisting pairs more than necessary to maintain certified performance.
