Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75725-AS CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF – Ethernet-patch-/installatiekabel

ShiverPeaks 75725-AS CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF Ethernet patch/installation cable is designed for high-performance wired networks that require 10 Gigabit Ethernet capability over twisted pair. The S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foiled pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while the PIMF (Pair in Metal Foil) arrangement ensures consistent pair geometry for stable signal transmission. This halogen-free cable is intended for structured cabling in offices, server rooms, and industrial environments where enhanced shielding and reliable data throughput are required.

Advantages

The cable offers CAT 6A performance suitable for 10 Gbps Ethernet, with an S/FTP jacket and braid that provide improved protection against external electromagnetic interference. The PIMF structure maintains pair separation and minimizes near-end crosstalk, supporting longer runs at higher frequencies. Its halogen-free construction reduces hazardous emissions in case of fire, and the robust outer sheath and shielding make the cable suitable for demanding installation scenarios.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in data centers and server rooms
• Structured cabling for office networks and workstations
• Industrial network installations where EMI protection is required
• Patch panels and horizontal cabling in commercial buildings

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6A, suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over twisted pair
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield plus individually foiled pairs (PIMF)
• Conductor arrangement: twisted pairs with pair-in-metal-foil construction
• Sheath material: halogen-free outer jacket
• Color: black
• Length: 15.0 m

How to use

Install the cable according to standard structured cabling practices, routing it through cable trays, conduits, or raised floors as required. Terminate each end with compatible CAT 6A RJ45 connectors or use pre-terminated plugs, ensuring the shield is correctly grounded to maintain EMI protection. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force during installation to preserve pair geometry and performance. Test the completed link with appropriate certification or validation equipment to verify CAT 6A performance and compliance with installation standards.

Recommendations

For reliable 10 Gigabit operation, maintain bend radii recommended by the manufacturer, protect the cable from sharp edges, and ensure proper shielding termination at patch panels and equipment chassis. Use cable management hardware and follow grounding procedures to maximize EMI protection and long-term signal integrity.
