Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S 2m Cat7 S/FTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 2m Cat7 S/FTP Grey networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for reliable, high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. Constructed to Cat7 standards with S/FTP shielding, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable connections for demanding applications. The integrated RJ-45 connectors feature gold plating to maintain signal integrity and resist corrosion, while the 2-meter length provides flexibility for typical desktop, router-to-switch, and AV setups.

Advantages

This Cat7 S/FTP cable offers improved shielding compared with lower-category cables, helping to maintain consistent throughput in environments with multiple electronic devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure durable contact surfaces and lower contact resistance. The 2 m length is a practical balance between reach and cable management, and the neutral grey jacket blends into most office and home interiors. The cable is suitable for high-bandwidth tasks while remaining compatible with standard Ethernet hardware.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops, and network switches
• Wired connections for home routers and mesh networking nodes
• Streaming high-definition audio and video, including 4K content
• Small office networks requiring stable, shielded Ethernet links
• Temporary or permanent workstation setups where 2 m length is sufficient

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7 (shielded, S/FTP)
• Length: 2 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Conductor arrangement: twisted pairs with individual foil shielding and overall braid
• Color: Grey
• Applicable speeds: supports high-bandwidth Ethernet standards (suitable for Gigabit and multi-gigabit links where supported by connected devices)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device (PC, laptop, switch, or router) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the network device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp kinks that could damage the internal conductors or affect shielding performance. For rack or structured cabling environments, use appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and reduce mechanical strain.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable in conjunction with shielded network equipment or properly grounded patch panels when deployed in electrically noisy environments. Avoid running the cable parallel to power lines for long distances to minimize potential interference. Inspect connectors periodically and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show signs of wear or damage.
