Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S 7,5 m Cat7 S/FTP wit

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S networking cable 7.5 m Cat7 S/FTP in white is designed for high-bandwidth home and office networks. It supports Cat7 performance with individually shielded pairs and an overall foil shield (S/FTP), and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to maintain consistent conductivity and reduce contact corrosion. At 7.5 meters length, the cable provides flexibility for connecting routers, switches, computers, NAS devices and other Ethernet-capable equipment while keeping signal integrity and limiting electromagnetic interference.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction isolates each twisted pair and includes an additional overall shield, which reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve contact reliability and lower contact resistance. The Cat7 specification supports higher frequency transmission, enabling stable gigabit and multi-gigabit data rates where supported by network equipment. The white jacket offers a neutral appearance that blends into residential and professional environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting gigabit and multi-gigabit routers, switches and network adapters
• Wiring home offices and business workstations where shielding is needed
• Linking media players, smart TVs and network-attached storage (NAS) for reliable streaming and file transfer
• Temporary or semi-permanent runs between networking equipment across rooms

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 7.5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs
• Contact plating: gold-plated connector contacts
• Jacket color: white

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem and the other end to the Ethernet port of your computer, NAS, smart TV or other network device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable and keep the cable run away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as unshielded power lines or large transformers. If routing through cable channels or behind furniture, check that connectors have enough clearance to avoid stress on the plug.

Recommendations

Use the cable within its specified length and shielding advantages to maintain signal quality. When deploying in an environment where grounding is managed, ensure metal shields on connected equipment are properly grounded to maximize EMI protection. For permanent in-wall installations, consult local building codes and consider using cables specifically rated for in-wall use.
