Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 0,25m groen

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable is a 0.25 m green patch cable with U/FTP (STP) shielding and RJ‑45 connectors on both ends. It is designed for short point‑to‑point connections where reduced clutter and reliable high‑speed data transmission are required. The cable supports the electrical and shielding characteristics of Category 7 cabling, making it suitable for Gigabit and higher throughput in compact installations such as desktop setups, patch panels, or networked AV equipment that sit close together.

Advantages

The U/FTP (STP) construction reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded alternatives, improving signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. The short 0.25 m length minimizes excess cable slack, helps maintain a tidy workspace and reduces potential signal degradation associated with loosely coiled cables. Standard RJ‑45 connectors ensure broad compatibility with network ports commonly found on switches, routers, computers and media devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting devices within a single workstation or rack where ports are in close proximity
• Short patch connections between a switch and a nearby patch panel or wall outlet
• Linking networked audiovisual equipment or gaming consoles to a nearby router or switch
• Temporary or permanent short-range network cabling in home and small office setups

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding type: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ‑45 on both ends
• Color: Green

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 connector to the network port of the device and the other RJ‑45 connector to the corresponding port on a router, switch or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure physical connection. For best performance, avoid tightly bending the cable at sharp angles near the connector and keep the cable run within the 0.25 m length to prevent stress on the connectors. When replacing an existing cable, confirm network link lights or system indicators show an active connection after installation.

Recommendations

Use this short Cat7 cable for tidy, high‑quality short links in environments with potential electromagnetic interference; avoid routing it alongside high‑power AC cables and do not subject it to excessive tension or repeated flexing to preserve shielding and connector integrity.
