Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 0,5 m

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable, 0.5m long, provides shielded twisted-pair connectivity designed for high-speed data transmission. Constructed with U/FTP (STP) shielding and fitted with RJ‑45 connectors on both ends, this white patch cable is intended for short connections between devices where reliable signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference are required. The cable conforms to Cat7 performance characteristics and is suitable for modern home and office network setups.

Advantages

The U/FTP (shielded twisted pair) design improves protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, which helps preserve signal quality in congested environments. With robust RJ‑45 connectors and a compact 0.5 m length, the cable is practical for tidy connections behind desks, network switches, patch panels or between closely located devices. The white jacket provides a neutral appearance that blends into many installation environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting a computer, NAS or networked printer to a wall socket or switch over a short distance
• Patching between network equipment in a rack or small server cabinet
• Desktop or home office setups where short, shielded connections are preferred
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7 performance level
• Shielding: U/FTP (individual pair foil with overall drain/braid)
• Connector type: RJ‑45 on both ends
• Length: 0.5 m
• Colour: White
• Cable type: Twisted pair, stranded or solid conductor suitable for patching (short runs)

How to use

Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the corresponding port of your switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure the connectors click into place to confirm a reliable physical connection. Use the 0.5 m cable to maintain a clean, low-profile installation for short-distance links; avoid sharp bends or crushing to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For best results, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and heavy electrical equipment.

Recommendations

For optimal shielding performance, maintain secure connector seating and avoid excessive twisting or kinking of the cable. Use this short Cat7 patch cable for connections where reduced interference and tidy cable management are priorities; for longer runs, select an appropriately rated cable with the required length.
