Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 10 m zwart

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable, 10 m in length and finished in black, provides high-speed wired connectivity for home and office networks. Built with S/FTP shielding and category 7 wiring, this cable is designed to support demanding Ethernet applications while reducing electromagnetic interference. RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts ensure consistent signal transmission and greater contact reliability over repeated insertions.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall braided shield with individually foil-shielded pairs, offering improved protection against crosstalk and external noise compared to lower-category cables. Category 7 wiring supports higher bandwidths and data rates required by modern network equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance corrosion resistance and maintain low contact resistance for stable connections. The 10 m length provides flexibility when routing between devices without the need for intermediate joins or extenders.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between routers, switches, computers, and NAS devices
• Streaming high-definition video and online gaming with reduced packet loss
• Office network installations requiring durable, shielded cabling
• Patching in structured cabling environments where Cat7 performance is desired

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (braided overall shield with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 10 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network port of your router, switch or modem and the other end to your computer, gaming console, smart TV or network storage device. Ensure both devices are powered off or that ports are hot-swappable according to the equipment manual before insertion. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, pinching, or tight loops that could damage the shielding or conductors; maintain a gentle bend radius and secure the cable with clips or ties where needed. After connection, verify link status and data rates via device network LEDs or operating system network settings.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines or large electrical equipment. Use cable management to prevent excessive bending and protect connector ends when not in use. If installing in-wall or permanent pathways, check local building codes and consider using cables rated specifically for in-wall installation.
