Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 1m rood U/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 1m Red U/FTP networking cable provides a compact, shielded connection for Ethernet networks. Designed for short-range links between devices such as switches, routers and network ports on computers, the cable uses U/FTP (unshielded overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs) construction and standard RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Its one-metre length and red jacket make it easy to route and identify in home or office installations while supporting high-speed data transmission with reduced electromagnetic interference.

Advantages

U/FTP shielding around each twisted pair and an overall braid improve signal integrity and reduce crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded cables. The compact 1 m length minimises excess cable clutter and maintains signal quality for short connections. Standard RJ-45 plugs ensure compatibility with common network equipment, and the robust jacket and connector mouldings provide mechanical durability for everyday use.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop or laptop to a nearby switch or router
• Short patch connections in a network cabinet or patch panel
• Home office or small office Ethernet links where cable identification is helpful
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference needing improved shielding

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding type: U/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 1 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Jacket colour: Red
• Use: Ethernet data transmission for Gigabit and higher-speed networks (subject to connected equipment)

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding network ports on your devices. For best performance, avoid tightly coiling the cable or running it parallel to sources of strong electrical noise for extended distances. Use the one-metre length for short patch runs between equipment in the same rack, adjacent desks, or close-by wall ports. Inspect connectors and jacket before installation to ensure there is no visible damage that could affect signal integrity.

Recommendations

When installing multiple cables, use colour-coding to simplify identification and documentation. For environments with substantial electromagnetic interference, ensure proper grounding of network equipment and maintain separation from mains power cables. Replace the cable if connector pins or the jacket are damaged to preserve network reliability.
