Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 2m zwart U/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 2m Black U/FTP networking cable provides a 2-metre connection for Ethernet devices with RJ-45 terminations on both ends. Designed with U/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs) shielding, this Cat7 cable reduces electromagnetic interference and supports high-speed data transmission suitable for home and office networks. The black jacket and sturdy connectors make the cable a practical choice for reliable wired network links.

Advantages

The U/FTP shielding improves signal integrity and reduces crosstalk between pairs, which helps maintain stable throughput over short and medium distances. Cat7 specification compatibility enables support for high bandwidth applications and gigabit or multi-gigabit Ethernet when used with appropriate equipment. The 2 metre length offers a compact, easy-to-manage connection for patching between switches, routers, network interface cards and wall outlets. Robust RJ-45 connectors and a durable outer jacket provide mechanical protection and consistent connection quality.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and workstations to switches or routers
• Patch panel and rack-mounted network interconnects in small offices
• Home networking between modem, router and media devices
• High-bandwidth applications such as streaming, online gaming and large file transfers

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 2 metres
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Colour: Black
• Suitable for: Gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet depending on connected equipment

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other connector into the corresponding port on your router, switch or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to establish a secure physical connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends, tight kinks and prolonged compression of the cable; route it through appropriate cable management channels or clips where necessary.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 U/FTP cable for short interconnect runs up to 2 metres. Pair with compatible shielded networking equipment or properly grounded panels to preserve shielding benefits and minimize external interference. Replace the cable if connector damage or visible jacket wear appears to maintain reliable network performance.
