Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 5m rood U/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 5m Red U/FTP networking cable provides a 5‑meter connection with U/FTP shielding and RJ‑45 connectors on both ends. Designed for structured cabling and point‑to‑point links, this Cat7 cable supports high bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with lower category cables. The red jacket offers clear visual identification in multi‑cable installations and helps maintain organized network runs in home and office environments.

Advantages

U/FTP shielding around each twisted pair improves protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, which supports more stable high‑speed data transmission. The Cat7 specification enables higher frequency performance suitable for demanding network applications. A 5‑meter length is long enough for typical desktop or rack connections while avoiding unnecessary slack. The robust jacket and factory‑terminated RJ‑45 plugs provide reliable physical connections and simple plug‑and‑play use.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers in home networks
• Wired gaming setups and low‑latency internet connections
• Streaming media devices and smart TV wired connections
• Small office LAN connections and desktop cabling
• Patch panels and short rack interconnects

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 5 m
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ‑45 to RJ‑45, factory terminated
• Cable color: Red
• Conductor type: Twisted pair (copper)
• Typical applications: Gigabit and multi‑gigabit Ethernet, high bandwidth data transmission

How to use

Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the network port of your device (PC, switch, router, gaming console or media player) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are inserted fully until the latch engages. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, excessive tension, and contact with sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For rack or patch panel installations, use appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines and keep separation from heavy electrical equipment. Use the 5m length for short to medium runs; for longer distances follow standard Ethernet length guidelines and consider higher category or shielded cabling per environment requirements.
