Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S geel 3 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Yellow 3 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a 3-metre Ethernet cable engineered for reliable high-speed data transmission. Constructed to Cat7 specifications with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this cable supports stable connections with reduced electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity. The bright yellow jacket provides easy visual identification in patch panels and cable runs while maintaining a flexible yet robust outer sheath suitable for home or office environments.

Advantages

This Cat7 S/FTP cable combines individual pair foil shielding with an overall braided shield to minimize crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs enhance contact reliability and resist oxidation for long-term performance. The 3 m length offers a practical balance between reach and cable management for desktop setups, wall outlets and network switches. Durable insulation and a color-coded jacket simplify routing and maintenance without compromising bandwidth capabilities.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and workstations to network switches or routers
• Patch panel to switch or patch panel to wall socket connections in small networks
• High-speed data transfer, streaming and low-latency applications
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and reliable links

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 (Class F) supporting high-frequency Ethernet signals
• Shielding: S/FTP — foil around each twisted pair plus overall braided shield
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Length: 3 metres
• Conductor type: multi-stranded copper conductors for flexibility and signal integrity
• Jacket color: yellow for easy identification

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device until it clicks to establish a secure physical connection. Use the 3 m cable to link network devices such as computers, switches, routers or patch panels; avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling to maintain cable integrity. For installations within racks or under desks, route the cable along cable trays or clips to prevent strain and maintain signal quality. The S/FTP shielding requires no special handling beyond standard good-practice cable routing.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the cable away from high-power electrical lines and large inductive loads. When using multiple network cables in parallel, separate power and data cabling where possible and secure connections in patch panels to reduce movement. Verify link speed and duplex settings on connected devices to ensure optimal throughput; Cat7 S/FTP cabling is suitable for gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet deployments when used with compatible hardware.
