Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S oranje 2 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Orange networking cable is a 2 m Cat7 S/FTP Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors and gold-plated contacts. Designed for reliable high-speed data transfer, this cable combines Category 7 performance with screened foil over pairs and an overall shield to reduce electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. The bright orange jacket provides easy visual identification in dense cable runs and adds a distinctive look to structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This Cat7 S/FTP cable supports high bandwidth and stable signal integrity thanks to individually foiled pairs and an overall braided shield, which minimize crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated contacts improve conductivity and resist corrosion for a longer service life. The 2 m length balances reach and neat cable management for desktop, rack, or patch panel use. The orange jacket enhances visibility, which helps with fast identification and maintenance in multi-cable environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktops, laptops and network devices to switches or routers in home and office environments
• Patch connections in server rooms, network cabinets and structured cabling systems
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming, online gaming and data backups
• Environments where cable identification and organized runs are required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (screened overall with individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs on both ends
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Length: 2 meters
• Conductor arrangement: Twisted pairs
• Jacket color: Orange

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other connector into a compatible switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends near the connector ends and do not stretch the cable under tension. Route the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as large motors or unshielded power lines.

Recommendations

For best results, use the Cat7 S/FTP cable in shielded or partially shielded installation environments and pair it with compatible shielded equipment and connectors to maintain overall shielding continuity. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors are visibly damaged. Store coiled without sharp kinks to preserve performance.
