Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S oranje 7,5 m Cat.7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Orange networking cable is a 7.5 m Cat7 S/FTP patch cable designed for high-performance wired connections. It combines Category 7 specification performance with S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair) construction to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. Terminated with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, the cable provides a durable metal contact surface for frequent plugging and unplugging while the bright orange jacket makes cable routing and identification easier in crowded installations.

Advantages

This Cat7 S/FTP cable delivers improved noise rejection compared with unshielded or lower-category cables due to its foil shielding around each pair and an overall braid shield. The gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance. The 7.5 m length offers flexibility for typical home and office layouts without excess slack. The orange jacket provides clear visual identification for patch panels, server rooms, or home networks while the cable construction supports higher data rates and better signal integrity.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches, routers and patch panels in home or small office networks
• Wiring desktop PCs, NAS devices and multimedia players for stable wired throughput
• Temporary or permanent installations where cable identification is helpful
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference from nearby equipment

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 7.5 meters
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual foil around pairs + overall braid)
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Orange
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the Ethernet port of your router, switch or network device and the other end to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Avoid tight bending near the connector and do not exceed the cable's minimum bend radius to maintain signal performance. For best results, route the cable away from large power cables and strong sources of electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 S/FTP cable in installations where improved shielding is needed or where cable color-coding helps organization. For rack-mounted equipment, measure required lengths to avoid excessive slack and use proper cable management accessories. If running the cable near heavy machinery or high-voltage lines, consider additional routing or conduit to preserve shield effectiveness.
