Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S rood 2 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Red 2 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a 2-meter Ethernet cable engineered for high-speed data transmission in home and professional networks. Built to Cat7 specifications with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this cable supports fast, stable connections while minimizing electromagnetic interference. The red jacket provides clear visual identification within patch panels, racks, or desktop setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually shielded pairs to reduce crosstalk and external EMI, improving signal integrity for demanding applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs enhance contact reliability and resist corrosion to maintain consistent conductivity over repeated connections. The Cat7 specification supports high bandwidth and low latency, suitable for modern network demands. The 2 m length balances reach and cable management for typical workstation and equipment connections.

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 2 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Red
• Typical use: Ethernet networking up to Cat7 performance levels

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of the network device and the other plug to the switch, router, or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of strong electrical sources where possible to preserve shielding effectiveness. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable management such as ties or trunking to avoid strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable within its 2 m length for short point-to-point links and avoid excessive bending or kinking. When deploying in environments with significant electromagnetic interference, pair Cat7 S/FTP cabling with properly grounded patch panels and equipment to maintain shielding effectiveness.
