Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S rood 30 m Cat7 S/FTP

The shiverpeaks BASIC-S Red 30 m Cat7 S/FTP is a high-performance networking cable designed for reliable, high-bandwidth data transmission over long runs. This 30 metre Cat7 cable features S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain signal integrity and reduce interference. The red jacket provides clear visual identification in multi-cable environments while meeting typical installation requirements for home and small office networks.

Advantages

Shielded S/FTP construction limits crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, supporting stable gigabit and multi-gigabit connections. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact durability and corrosion resistance. The 30 m length allows flexible placement of devices without needing additional patch panels or extenders. The cable’s outer jacket is coloured for easy identification and tidy cable management.

Suitable for

• Wired home networks where long runs are required
• Small office LAN connections and workstation cabling
• High-bandwidth applications such as streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers
• Patch runs in structured cabling where shielded cables are preferred to reduce interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7, suitable for high-speed LAN installations
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 30 metres
• Connector: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Colour: Red jacket for easy identification
• Typical use: supports gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet applications

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring bends are gradual and the minimum bend radius recommended for Cat7 is observed. Terminate the RJ-45 connectors into compatible ports on routers, switches, network interface cards or patch panels. Avoid placing the cable alongside strong power lines or sources of electromagnetic noise when possible to preserve the shielding effectiveness. Test the connection after installation with a network tester or by verifying link speed on connected equipment.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable within its length rating and maintain secure connector seating. If running the cable through conduits or ceilings, ensure environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) are suitable for standard network cabling. For installations requiring compliance with local building codes, verify fire-rating requirements and select appropriate routes or protective conduits as needed.
